​The Vietnam War

The Vietnam War which was also known as Second Indochina War, was a Cold War-era proxy war that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from December 1956 to April 30, 1975 (the fall of Saigon). The long fought war lasted nearly 20 years, which were filled with blood and many deaths. This war followed the First Indochina War and was fought between North Vietnan (who were supported by the Soviet Union, China and other communist allies) and the government of South Vietnam (who were supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies).
